Woman Kills Her Husband Over N100

An argument over N100 between a housewife and her bricklayer husband yesterday turned violent as she struck him to death with a stick.
The wife allegedly asked the deceased for N100. He was said to have told the wife that he had no money, which angered her.
The matter degenerated into a hot argument between them, during which the wife was said to have picked a stick and hit the husband on his head, and he fainted.


He was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital where he was pronounced dead.
On hearing news of the man’s death, the woman was said to have locked herself up in a room and inflicted wounds on her body using a razor blade, after she realised what she had done.
Residents of the area forced the door open and dragged her out before calling the police.
